To be named a Rising Stars honoree, an attorney must go through Super Lawyers’ patented multiphase selection process.
The process requires that an attorney be:
- Nominated: Nominees are identified by the candidate’s peers or the Super Lawyers’ research team.
- Evaluated: Candidates are rated on 12 indicators of professional achievement, which include, but are not limited to, awards and honors, pro bono and community service, and experience.
- Peer-reviewed: Top-scoring candidates are selected to serve on a blue ribbon review panel and rate their peers within their field of practice.
- Selected: Eligible attorneys with the highest scores from the previous steps are chosen to the list for a particular region. To be named to the Rising Stars list, the lawyer must either be 40 years of age or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.
The Rising Stars list provides a credible resource for consumers looking for exceptional legal representation.
